Promotion Mechanics

1. Promotion Period is from April 15 to June 30, 2015.

2. A minimum single-receipt purchase of P2,000 at any branch of The SM Store nationwide (only transactions inside the store / excluding mall selling / offline transactions) using a Philippine-issued MasterCard credit, debit or prepaid card from April 15 to June 30, 2015 gives the cardholder a chance to instantly Win Back Tuition Fee up to P100,000.

3. There will be 100 winners of Tuition Fee worth up to P100,000 and 4,000 winners of SM Gift Pass worth P100 across all branches of The SM Store.

4. Qualified transaction should be made from April 15 to June 30, 2015; Claiming of prizes will be from April 15 to August 29, 2015.

5. Upon completing a minimum single-receipt purchase of P2,000 using a MasterCard credit, debit and prepaid card, the SM transaction receipt will display the following information:

• For winning transaction/cardholder (Message 1 – Tuition Fee):  “Congratulations! You have won back your tuition fee up to P100,000 with The SM Store and MasterCard’s back-to-school promo. Proceed to the Customer Service Counter for details on how to claim your prize. Terms & conditions apply. See Posters for details. Promo period: April 15 – June 30, 2015. Per DTI-FTEB Permit No. 4791, Series of 2015”
• For winning transaction/cardholder (Message 2 – P100 Gift Pass):  “Congratulations! You Won P100 SM Gift Pass from The SM Store and MasterCard’s back-to-school promo. Please present receipt to the Customer Service Counter to claim. See Posters for details. Promo period: April 15 – June 30, 2015. Per DTI-FTEB Permit No. 4791, Series of 2015”
• For non-winning transaction/cardholder:  “Enjoy Shopping at The SM Store using your MasterCard for a chance to Win Back your Tuition Fee! See Posters for details. Promo period: April 15 – June 30, 2015. Per DTI-FTEB Permit No. 4791, Series of 2015”

6. Redemption process for Winner of Tuition Fee

6.1. Cashier must ask winning MasterCard cardholder to proceed to Customer Service Counter B.

6.2. The winner must present the winning SM transaction receipt, charge slip and the MasterCard card used for the winning transaction to the Branch Marketing Manager or Customer Service Manager.

6.2 Branch Marketing Manager / Customer Service Manager – B must brief winning MasterCard cardholder on how to claim his/her prize.

6.3 For Metro Manila winners:

• Winner may claim his/her prize from SBU-Marketing Head Office. Rm 475 Bldg. D, SM Corporate Office, JW Diokno Avenue, MOA Complex, Pasay City upon submission of complete documents to the Branch Marketing Manager.
• Documents required:

o Winning Transaction Receipt

o Winning charge slip

o Winning Stub

o MasterCard card used for the winning transaction

o TIN ID / TIN Number

o At least two valid IDs with photo and signature

o Tuition Fee O.R. for SY 2015-2016

o School Assessment Form for SY 2015-2016

o Proof of relation to student, if not himself/herself:

-If student is the child of the winner: birth certificate of student

-If student is the sibling of the winner: birth certificate of winner and student

-If student is not the winner’s child or sibling – winner can claim up to P50,000 maximum prize only

6.4 For Provincial winners:

• Winner may claim his/her prize from the branch where he/she won upon submission of complete documents to the Branch Marketing Manager.
• Documents required:

o Winning Transaction Receipt

o Winning charge slip

o Winning Stub

o MasterCard card used for the winning transaction

o TIN ID / TIN Number

o At least two valid IDs with photo and signature

o Tuition Fee O.R. for SY 2015-2016

o School Assessment Form for SY 2015-2016

o Proof of relation to student, if not himself/herself:

-If student is the child of the winner: birth certificate of student

-If student is the sibling of the winner: birth certificate of winner and student

-If student is not the winner’s child or sibling – winner can claim up to P50,000 maximum prize only

6.5 For All Winners:

• The SM Store will reimburse the basic tuition fee up to P100,000 for one (1) school year only, excluding (but not limited to) the following miscellaneous fees; laboratory, medical, dental, uniform, journals, school ID, educational trips, retreat and others as stated on the school assessment form or official receipt.
• Winner will be entitled to a reimbursement of paid tuition fee up to a maximum of P100,000, upon presentation of student’s Tuition Fee documents, if the student is the winner’s child or sibling, or if the student is himself/herself.
• Winner will be entitled to a reimbursement of paid tuition fee up to a maximum of P50,000, upon presentation of student’s Tuition Fee documents, if the student is not the winner’s child or sibling.

6.6 Reimbursement of tuition fee is for School Year 2015-2016 only.

6.7 Reimbursement of tuition fee is valid for all levels: pre-elementary, elementary, high school, college, masteral and doctoral degree.

6.8 Reimbursement of tuition fee is valid for one (1) student only.

• Winner will be entitled to a reimbursement of paid tuition fee up to a maximum of P100,000, upon presentation of student’s Tuition Fee documents, if the student is the winner’s child or sibling, or if the student is himself/herself.
• Winner will be entitled to a reimbursement of paid tuition fee up to a maximum of P50,000, upon presentation of student’s Tuition Fee documents, if the student is not the winner’s child or sibling.

7. To qualify for the Tuition Fee prize, MasterCard cardholder must present an Official Receipt for School Year 2015-2016 of one (1) student.

8. To claim the Tuition Fee prize, MasterCard cardholder must present the Official Receipt of Tuition Fee paid (with Assessment form) for School Year 2015-2016 of one (1) student. For Example:

• For Semester: If the Official Receipt for the First Semester shows that the amount paid is P50,000.00, SM will award the winner the equivalent of double the amount paid based on the first semester to cover the whole year, up to a maximum of P100,000.00. Documents must prove that the student is the winner’s child or sibling or the winner himself/herself.
• For Trimester: If the Official Receipt for the First Trimester shows that the amount paid is P50,000.00, SM will award the winner the equivalent of only 2 trimesters based on the amount paid for the first trimester or up to a maximum of P100,000.00. Documents must prove that the student is the winner’s child or sibling or the winner himself/herself.

9. Reimbursement of tuition fee will be made through a check payable to the winning MasterCard cardholder.

10. Check payment will be released at least thirty (30) working days from the submission of complete document requirements by the winning MasterCard cardholder.

11. One-time, full payment of the Tuition Fee prize will be given to the winning MasterCard cardholder.

12. To claim the P100 SM Gift Pass, the winning MasterCard cardholder must present the winning SM transaction receipt, charge slip and the MasterCard card used for the winning transaction at the designated redemption booth located inside The SM Store branch where the transaction was made.

• Winner cannot claim the prize from other branches of The SM Store.

• Upon claiming of the SM Gift Pass, the transaction receipt will be marked/ stamped “CLAIMED” while the charge slip will be collected by The SM Store where the prize was claimed.

• Customer Service Supervisor/Manager-A must verify the winning transaction prior to awarding the SM Gift Pass to the winning MasterCard cardholder.

• The SM Store / MasterCard will not replace lost, damaged and defective SM Gift Pass caused by the winner/cardholder.

13. Deadline for claiming of prizes is on August 29, 2015. All unclaimed prizes will be forfeited in favor of The SM Store with prior DTI approval.

14. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to hold The SM Store and MasterCard free and harmless from any loss, injury, or damage caused by or arising from his/her participation in the program or caused by or arising from his/her acceptance and/or use of the prize.

15. Employees, Management and Board of Directors of SM Retail Inc. and MasterCard Philippines, their affiliates, accredited agencies and their relatives, up to the second degree of affinity and consanguinity are disqualified from winning in this Promotion.
